Central Christian Church of Bradenton

Pastor David's Resignation

After two and a half years Pastor David is stepping down.  He came to help our church find a direction and a Vision.  Our partnership with Downtown Ministries and our Vision of being a church that unchurched people love to attend have been the result.  Now it is time for him to step aside so that new leadership can come in and write a new chapter.  As for him, he will be starting as the Worship Leader at Beneva Christian Church in Sarasota on September 10.  He will be using his gift of music to lead worship for this congregation as they have newly launched a more contemporary worship experience.

Our Building Is Off The Market!

On Sunday, January 15 the Executive Board voted to take our building off of the market so that we can focus on our new partnership with Downtown Ministries.  We also voted that if we would ever decide to sell, Downtown Ministries would have the first right of refusal.  In order to actually see what God is going to do we knew that we needed to make sure that this new partnership was permenant.  This isn't the kind of ministry that can start today and end tomorrow because the building is sold.

We Welcome The Redemption Center

This is the name of the congregation that is now renting our chapel.  They have Bible Study every Sunday morning starting at 9:30am, followed by worship at 10:30am.  They had their first service in the Chapel on Sunday, December 4.  The next time you are with us on a Sunday, make sure you stop over to the Chapel to welcome them to our building.

Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission - To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our mission as a gathering of people in process (our definition of church) is three fold:

We will help people think Biblically.

We will help people behave Biblically.

We will help people contextualize Biblical teaching. (understandable and practical for everyday life)

Our Vision - A church that unchurched people love to attend.

The congregation approved this Mission & Vision on Sunday, May 1.  Now the work begins.  How do we live into being a church that unchurched people love to attend?
